Welcome, Dicks!
The problem was one of consistency: placed side-by-side with the later seasons, the earliest seasons looked as if they were done by someone else. Had I known the series would turn darker and more serious, I'd have done it that way from the outset. But the show grew and changed organically, so now I'm stuck with a massive shift in style, and the only way to fix it is to start over. REMASTERING SAGA1 July 2025 At first I was going to remaster the episodes ten at a time into new, longer shows. But partway into that project, it hit me: I could get more storytelling mileage by making three feature-length (one-plus hour long) movies instead. I'd be free to tell hour-long jokes if the opportunity arose. But, as appealing as that project sounded, I had to face the reality of the practicality. Work moves along very slowly, and grows slower with each day. I completed a rough outline of the three films, then began scripting the first movie. Once finished, I recorded the voice tracks for the whole film, and then, finally, started to work on the first of 12 chapter for film 1. And after completing Chapter 1, I did some quick math... and realized completing all three movies might take well over a year, and that assumes a consistent work pace, which is unlikely. And that also assumes I live that long (I'm already living on borrowed time). I will probably fiddle with it on and off as the mood moves me; in particular, I may create Season 15, since it neatly ties up all of the loose ends, but finishing all three films seems iffy. Unless I come up with some magical new approach to animation (which I am attempting), I would not hold your breath waiting for the day they all drop. But, despite all of the doom and gloom, work continues. At this writing, I have half of the first of three movies complete. The nice thing about the new format is that I can dwell on certain points, and give certain scenes the attention they deserve. Not to mention creating all-new content that dovetails into the original story to provide more context for some characters' behaviors. Consequently some parts are funnier, while others are more serious. I am enjoying this aspect of the process the most. THE COMPLETE ORIGINAL SERIESEach season has ten one-minute episodes, for a total of 140 episodes. I never did finish Season 15, and I likely won't bother, assuming I live to see the third film in production, at which point I can wrap up the entire show in style. It all depends on how many ticks are left in the old ticker. If there aren't enough, I'll write a synopsis of the last season so the three people who care can finally find out how it all ends.
