Welcome to the home of Felini At Sea, a spin-off series from Lightspeed Drifting. Yes, it's yet another bunch of my stupid animation. What can I say? It's my hobby, and I enjoy it. I'm not forcing anyone else to watch, much less like, my nonsense. But I publish it because there are a few people who follow my work; plus, there's always a chance I might pick up a new fan or two (probably after I die). Felini is a bit different from my usual fare. It's more dramatic than comic; indeed, it gets downright philosophical at times. It's also an experiment in a different animation style: I'm playing with new (for me) rendering techniques to give images a more polished look. And instead of a glut of regular characters, it has just a few. This allows me to focus on a different kind of storytelling; it's more focused and cerebral — think navel-gazing . As I near the end of my time on Earth, I'm increasingly using animation to make some personal observations on life and living. Inspiration came about as I was finishing the fourth "season" of Lightspeed, which ended with a cliffhanger. I'd put one of the main characters in peril, and as I pondered what would happen in the fifth season with everyone else, I thought about following the fate of Felini, who disappears into a wormhole, as the setup for a wholly separate animation series. So, what's it all about? Felini At Sea follows a lost soul, someone who is a long, long way from home, both physically and psychologically. Stranded on a desolate planet, she struggles to survive while facing no end of demons both internal and external. Being stranded gives her a lot of time to think, and a fair amount of time is spent inside her head. The Miniseries
